Flour Moon is a nationally-acclaimed and locally loved bakery serving fresh, New York-style bagels, tartines, and sandwiches.
Born a pandemic pop-up, Flour Moon quickly gained a cult following as one of Bon Appétit’s very best bagel shops in the United States. Preceding a long-awaited expansion into a brick and mortar along the Lafitte Greenway in New Orleans, owner Breanne Kostyk approached AKA with a desire to build excitement and distinguish her shop through a unique brand story.

A wide sans type appealed to the clients appreciation for scandi-inspired modern aesthetic and coupled well with the organic shapes and line drawings within the visual language. The Flour Moon icon represents both a night’s sky through the lens of a telescope, and a seeded bagel.
We believe the right packaging can make a brand sing. Flexible brand elements appear throughout multiple assets, including cups, pre-packaged spreads, customer loyalty cards, totes, and bags.
You feel the branding through multiple touchpoints throughout the space including custom vinyls, wayfinding signage and a hand-painted mural.
